Indiana:

Flashrock XC Invite: US #5 Futsom Zeinasellasse, North Central, won the Varsity Blue Division with a time of 15:22.7.  The Boys Green Division was loaded with Hale O'Herren, Cathedral, winning a tight finish with a time of 15:19.1.  Jason Crist, Franklin Central, and Scott Vicenzi, Brownsburg, finished 2-3 with times of 15:20.3 and 15:20.7.  Dani Sullivan, Franklin Central, won the Girls Green Division with a time of 18:26.9.  Frosh Anna Voskuil, Bloomington South, won the Girls Blue Division with a time of 18:34.0.  Meet Page

 

Michigan:

Spartan Invitational (MI): Megan Goethals, Rochester, continues to win big with a 30 second victory over Sara Kroll, Livonia Churchill, with a time of 17:22.  Michael Atchoo, Troy, lit up the boys race with a winning time of 15:38.  Omar Kaddurah, Grand Blanc, was 2nd with a time of 15:55.  Meet Page and Results

 

Nike Holly Cross Country Invitational:  Wtih 5 divisions of girls and boys races this meet was a monster!  Shannon Osika, Waterford, won the Girls D1 race with a time of 18:12.  Avery Evenson, Hartland, was 2nd in 18:27.  Pioneer girls won the meet with 58 points.  In the Boys D1 race Pioneer teammates Nathan Karr, Nick Kern, and  Adam Kern finished 1-2-3 with times of 15:45, 15:45, and 15:50.  Pioneer won the meet with 34 points and a 16:07 average.  Meet Page

 

Chesaning Invitational: Trevor Denton, Chesaning, won the boys race with a time of 16:23.8.  Raquel Serna, St. Louis, took the girls race with a time of 19:21.6.  Flushing girls dominated with 38 points and 5 runners inside the top-11.  Meet Results

 

Comstock Park Invitational: Jessica Shaw, Allegan, won the girls Varsity race with a time of 19:36.75.  Allegan won the team title with 27 points and an impressive 5 runners in the top-11.  Meet Results

Briarwood Invitational (PA): Joe Rosa, WWPN, breaks his own course record with a time of 15:19.3 in the Boys Championship Division on a notoriously difficult course.  West Windsor Plainsboro North won the Boys Championship title with a 63-69 win over PA#2 LaSalleJim Rosa(NJ) was 2nd in 15:38.0 and Brad Miles, North Penn, was 3rd in 15:49.7.  Arlington(NY) girls upend US#10 Tatnall by a score of 50-53.  Arlington's strength was in Hayley McMahon and Rachel Sorna's 1-2 punch up front with times of 19:14.0 and 19:14.2.  Rosa's photo by Don Rich  Meet Page

 

Altoona XC Invitational:  Altoona dominated the meet, finishing with 23 points and all 7 runners inside the top-15 overall.  Altoona's Wade Endress won the overall title with a time of 15:40.60.  Central Cambria frosh Alyssa Brandis won the girls title with a time of 18:47.65.  Central Cambria girls won the team title with 51 points.  Meet Page

 

 

North Carolina:

Reebok Wolfpack InvitationalWesley Frazier, Ravenscroft, (Photo by Prettysporty.com) dominated yet another invitational, this time recording a time of 17:10 for 5000 meters to win the Girls Championship division.  Carolyn Baskir, East Chapel Hill, finished 2nd with a time of 17:24.  TC Roberson won the girls team title with 102 points.  Jake Hurysz, Eastern Alamance, won the Boys Championship race with a time of 15:12.  Thomas Graham, Cary Academy, finished 2nd in 15:15.  Meet Page

 

Illinois:

Richard Spring Classic:  Pat Lesiewicz, Schaumburg, lit up the 3 mile course with a time of 14:25 to claim victory by 10 seconds over Nico Composto, Loyola Academy, 14:35.  Britten Petrey, Schaumburg, won the girls 3 mile race with a time of 17:11.

Vencie Invitational:  The Community School of Naples lit up the Venice Invitational with a 33-101 victory over the field with a 19:18 average.  Naples took the top-3 places with Katheryn Fluer taking the win in 17:11, Erika Fluer finishing 2nd in 17:26, and Vivian Grimes running 3rd in 18:59.  (Katheryn, left, Erika, right.  Photo by flrunners.com)    Meet Page

                     

UF Mountain Dew Invitational:  Dr. Phillips won the boys race over Hoover(AL), with a team score of 72 points, 35 clear of Hoover.  Elliot Clemente, Belen Jesuit Prep, won the individual title with a time of 16:00.37.  Lakewood Ranch girls took down Winter Park 95-108.  Meet Page

 

Katie Caples Invitational:  Chiles girls won with a team average of 19:18 behind 1-2 finish of Lily Williams, 18:28, and Carly Thomas, 18:47.  Colin Barker, (Photo by Mike Leary) Bishop Kenny, won the boys race with a time of 15:21.  Meet Page

 

Mt. Dora Bible Bulldog Invitational:  Brian Atkinson, Melbourne, won the boys race in 16:12 on a very difficult course.  Meet Page

 

Massachusetts:

MSTCA McIntyre XC Invitational:  Jenna Davidner, Oliver Ames, won the Girls Division I race with a time of 18:31 to win by 41 seconds.  Alanna Poretta, Pentucket, won the Girls Division II race with a time of 18:39.  John Bleday, Xaverian Brothers, won the Boys Division I race with a time of 15:54.  Dana Dourdeville, Old Rochester, and Max Darrah, Dennis-Yarmouth, made the Boys Division II race interesting, crossing the line together in 15:58 with Dana the winner.  Meet Page

William and Mary Invite: Corey Puffett, DeMatha Catholic, won the boys A race with a time of 16:02 and Clarissa Schick, Maggie Walker, won the girls A race with a time of 19:06.  Maggie Walker girls dominated with 30 points off of 5 runners inside the top-12.  Grassfield boys also won impressively with 46 points.  Meet Coverage

Gwinnett County Championships:  Georgia Mudder!  Kirubel Erassa, Grayson, took the boys varsity race on a muddy course with a time of 16:24.03.  Nicky Akande, Collins Hill, ripped through the mud on her was to an impressive victory with a time of 18:59.30, 48 seconds up on 2nd place.  Meet Page

 

Kentucky:

Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational: Both boys and girls races were fast up front with 6 boys faster than 15:30 and 4 girls faster than 18:30.  Tyler Byrne, North Harrison, won the boys race with a time of 15:09.78.  Ryan Eaton, Greenwood, finished 2nd in 15:16.15.  Carmel HS, put 3 in the top-8 to win the boys team title with 68 points.  Emma Brink, Sacred Heart Academy, won the girls race with a 17:57.36.  Carmel girls also won in a landslide with 4 in the top-14 to record 58 points.  Meet Coverage Here

 

Missouri:

Southern Stampede XC Invitational:  Caleb Hoover,(Photo by Chris Auckley) College Heights Christian, is looking like one of Missouri's best as he ripped through his third victory of the season with a time of 15:28.32, 30 seconds clear of runner-up Kevin Colon, Lee's Summit West, last years Class 4 State Champ.  Courtney Wood, Neosho, won the girls race with a quick 18:13.55.  Meet Page

 

Connecticut:

Hartford Riverfront Invitational: Burnt Hills girls recorded an impressive victory with 46 points and 5 runners inside the top-17.  Heidi Caldwell, Hanover, recorded a victory in a course record time of 18:22.5.  A Hanover runner also took the boys race with Aaron Watanabe recording a 36 second victory in a time of 15:42.6.  The Hanover boys rode that momentum to a 41-46 point victory over XavierMeet Page

 

Tennessee:

Tennessee Classic:  It was a wet one it TN, and Jacob Rainey, Rossview, won the Boys Varsity Gold race with a quick time of 15:51.21 given the conditions.  Megan Ferowich, Knoxville Christian, lit up the Girls Varsity Silver race with a 54 second victory with a time of 19:05.48.  Meet Coverage Here

 

Chattanooga Cross Country Festival:  With 2 big hills, a 2 loop course, and lots of rain, you get one muddy course.  Carson Chambliss, Hewitt-Truss, managed to get through it all for the boys varsity win in 17:49.48.  Kathleen LaPorte, St. Pius X, toured the sloppy course in 20:33.22 for the win.  Meet Coverage Here

 

Vermont:

Burlington Invitational:  Hannah Rowe, St. Johnsbury Academy, ran away with a 60 second victory with a time of 18:58.88.  Ben Lustgarten, Burlington, won the boys race with a time of 16:42.63.  Meet Page

 

Wisconsin:

Whitefish Bay Invitational:  Marcus Paulson, Hamilton, won the boys 5k race with a time of 16:15.7.  Kenzie Vicker, Whitefish Bay, won the girls 4k race with a time of 15:16.99.  Meet Page

 

South Carolina:

Minnesota:

Lakeville Applejack Invitational: Jake Sandry, Bloomington Jefferson, won the boys 5k race with time of 15:32.9.  Jon-Michael Brandt, Winona, finished 2nd with a time of 15:45.6.  Sharmila Ahmed, Burnsville, won the girls 4k race with a time of 14:38.5.  Taylor Perkins, Lakeville North, was 2nd in a time of 14:40.4.  Lakeville South girls pulled out a squeaker over Prior Lake, 83-86.  Meet Page

 

Metro Invitational: Kaila Urick, Chaska, won the girls 4k race by 25 seconds with a time of 14:45.8. Aaron Bartnik, Eden Prairie, won the boys 5k race with a time of 16:06.  Eden Prairie dominated the boys race with 5 in the top-12 for victory with 32 points.  Meet Page

 

Hutchinson Invitational:  Maria Hauger, Shakopee, ran to a solo 4k victory with a time of 14:12.6.  Second place was 54 seconds back.  Shakopee girls won the meet with 29 points.  Meet Page
