On The Line, Episode 8: Nico Young

On Episode 8 of MileSplit's On The Line podcast, Cory Mull chats with Newbury Park's Nico Young ahead of the Arcadia Invitational. The Californian distance runner has high aspirations at the meet and will join a selection of the country's top runners as they hope to tear down new walls in the 3200 meter run. Beyond that one race, Young's hopes go far beyond a great race.

The fourth-place finisher at Nike Cross Nationals is aiming for a win at California's CIF State Championships one year after finishing out of medal contention in the 3200m. All of this is in steep contrast to Young's sophomore and freshman seasons, when he wasn't on the radar as one of the country's best runners. But the fast rising talent has certainly made a name for himself in 2018-2019. Check out what he all has to say about his season and more on this episode of On The Line.
