100m: Sophmore Briana Williams from Northeast High School (Oakland Park, FL) ran a new US No. 1 time in the 100m dash at the Bob Hayes Invitational. Williams ran 11.13 (1.7) for not only the new US No. 1 time but also a new 15-year-old age group world record, previously held by Marion Jones. Her time also ties her as the fourth-fastest all-time mark with Jacksonville's Chandra Cheeseborough and Colorado Springs, Ashley Owens in high school history.
200m: The girls 200m dash was another big race at the Bob Hayes Invitational. Gainesville High Schools (FL) Tamari Davis put together another stunning performance running 23.06 (1.5) to tie Bianca Knight's freshman class record. She did this only one week after setting the freshman class indoor national records and winning the 60 and 200m dashes at New Balance Nationals Indoor.
