Last weekend at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic, the high jump competition was off the charts amazing. Annika Williams on the girls side set a new meet record jump of 5 feet, 9.25 inches. On the guys side, we saw Mayson Conner of York (NE) also go off for a huge mark of 7 feet, 0.25 inches. He jumped not only the current US No. 1 mark but also the 14th-best effort recorded from any point in the season over the past decade.

Conner's mark is one of the best at this point in the season from the past decade. He stands in great company as one of only a handful of guys to jump over six feet at this point in the season.
