With the remaining three NXR regions to take place on Saturday -- plus the addition of an overall merge after the California Interscholastic Federation Championships -- it will conclude regional races leading up to NXN on Dec. 2 in Portland and will determine our overall 22-team field for the national championship.
Earlier this week, we looked at some of the all-time best performances at Woodward Park in Fresno, California, which is the site of the CIF Championships on Saturday.
Now we're going to eye up all-time records at the site of our three NXR races on Saturday in New York and North Carolina -- both NXR New York and NXR Northeast are run on the same course.
The site of those races will be at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, New York, and WakeMed Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
Two of the four record holders on these courses will find themselves on the line on Saturday. Runners may be able to gauge just how fast they need to go to lock down an automatic berth to NXN.
