NXN Midwest Boys Regional -- results and coverage
Auto Qualifiers:
1. Downers Grove North (Downers North XC Club), IL, 104 Points
2. Carmel (The Carmel Project), IN, 164 Points
Potential Wildcards:
3. Lyons Township (La Grange CC Club), IL 167 Points
Pros: Neuqua Valley was 2nd at the state meet, which could mean if they get a bid so should Lyons Township, since they beat them at NXN Midwest. The Midwest region seems to be one of the deeper regions this year. They were only three points behind second place Caramel.
Cons: They were fifth at the IHSA Cross Country State Championship in Class 3A. In the 3A state meet they lost to DGN, Neuqua Valley High School, Wheaton Warrenville South High School, and Hinsdale Central High School. They've lost to a lot of other unranked teams throughout the season.
4. Neuqua Valley (Naperville South), IL, 193
Pros: The Midwest region seems to be one of the deeper regions this year.
Cons: They lost to Lyons Township who they beat at the state meet. Lyons Township has had several other big losses this season.- Bryan
