Sieperda had the fastest overall time at the Iowa state championships on October 28, logging an impressive mark of 15:18.60 and a touchpoint 186 speed rating in the Class 2A race to earn his first title. But now there's more on the line and potentially some regional recognition to earn -- proving ground Sieperda is more than capable of laying down against tough competition.
He's been arguably the top runner in his state all year, laying down four performances under 15:30, including a 15:08.38 at the Sibley Ocheyedan Invitational. He finished second only to Peters at the Lennox Invitational on Sept. 29.
Watch out for Sieperda in the lead pack on Sunday.
