Why: Halladay placed second at NXR Northwest last year and just won her second straight Idaho state XC title. Did we mention that she's only a sophomore? Halladay clocked a 5K PR of 17:19.6 at the Nike Portland XC Invite in September and is undefeated on the season, having not lost a race since her impressive third-place showing at the Brooks PR mile in June. She boasts PRs of 4:41.8 for the mile and 10:30.8 for 3200m, and is the reigning Idaho state champ at 1600m and 3200m.
