Girls Teams And Individuals To Watch At NXR Northwest

Teams Going Crazy

Bozeman is a certifiable juggernaut: Ranked No. 7 in the Flo50, the Hawks are fresh off their 11th-straight Montana state championship and have won NXR Northwest two years in a row. With low-stick Camila Noe leading the charge, Bozeman is favored to three-peat.

Nevertheless, Jesuit poses a legitimate threat to Bozeman's reign atop the Northwest region. The Crusaders are ranked No. 9 in the Flo50 a,nd just won the Oregon 6A state title with an 18:24 average. With only one senior in its top seven, Jesuit is relatively inexperienced, but the Crusaders have been incredibly consistent and are brimming with upside.

Meanwhile, Sunset entered the 2017 campaign ranked No. 2 in the Flo50 but have since dropped out of our rankings. The Apollos boast the second-best crop of 5K PRs in the nation, but we all know that doesn't necessarily mean much in XC. Sunset will be in the mix but it's practically impossible to justify picking them to upset Bozeman or Jesuit.

Other contenders include Washington 3A state champs and Flo50 No. 19 North Central, Idaho powerhouses Eagle (Flo50 No. 20) and Mountain View (Flo50 No. 21), and Issaquah.
