
In a tuneup meet prior to competing in the Millrose Games mile next weekend, Patriot (VA) senior Rachel McArthur pick up some great momentum into her next big race by winning two elite high school races at the Armory Track Invitational this weekend. On Friday, McArthur was able to kick away from one of New York's best middle distance runners in Kaitlin Ryan for a US top 20 all-time performance of 2:48.35 in the 1000 meter run. On Saturday, the Villanova recruit McArthur was able to hold off Dartmouth Relays 600 meet record holder Corinne Kennedy (Lebanon NH) to win the 600 in a US #4 performance of 1:32.67 in her first opportunity to run the rare event.
