There are no nationally ranked athletes entered in these two races, but there is guaranteed entertainment value with distance runners making a lifetime debut in a race with twenty barriers and five water jumps. And the next stud steeplechaser could emerge.
2:50 PM Friday: Boys 4x800m, followed by girls
The storylines for these two races are extremely similar. The Kingwood girls are ranked US #1 this spring, but powerhouses Cinco Ranch and Katy Seven Lakes are capable of going just as fast. And the Strake Jesuit boys are sitting pretty at US #2, but will face an all-out assault from The Woodlands on Friday afternoon.
