Six Moments To Watch At The SPIRE Scholastic Showcase

Titans of Throwing

Jordan Geist has thrown himself into one of the main headlines of 2016. The junior from Knoch, Pa. broke the Pennsylvania state record in the Shot Put and made the U.S. Top 10 All-Time List back in January and has not stopped improving since.

His best of 72-8.75 now leads the nation by nearly six inches.

In Geist's other event, he's shockingly not favored. The junior is ranked "just" US #7 in the Weight Throw (72-8) and two other nationally ranked stars will compete at SPIRE: US #3 Nick Lane (75-11) and US #4 Nik Curtiss (75-4.75).
