Post-meet interview with Coach Bill Aris after his Fayetteville-Manlius (NY) boys and girls cross country teams recorded a historic sweep of the Eastern States championship team titles at the Manhattan College Invitational on Saturday. The preseason #1 ranked F-M girls got back on track after a loss two weeks ago at the McQuaid Invitational in winning their first Manhattan title after a two year drought in 2012 and 2013. Meanwhile, the Fayetteville-Manlius boys toppled the #1 ranked team in the country in Christian Brothers Academy of New Jersey and certainly should see themselves take over that spot in the next rankings, while destroying the fastest team average ever at Van Cortland Park with their 12:32 top 5 average.
