5. Dana Feyen, Gale Ettrick-Trempealeau (WI)
For the second year in a row, junior Dana Feyen went undefeated in her regular season, save for the Roy Griak Invitational. However, as opposed to last year when she elected to forgo NXR Heartland and only compete at the Foot Locker Midwest, she's eyeing up a bid to NXN in 2017.
This year, the two-time Division 2 state champion will be in Sioux Falls as arguably the top Wisconsin runners in attendance -- her 17:53 season best is the fastest of any Wisconsin athlete this fall.
The biggest question surrounding Feyen is just how well she is able to compete against fields as good as what she will face on Saturday, as she doesn't often face competition in her same league (many of her wins were by multiple minutes). But considering the fact she has two top-10 finishes at Griak, she certainly does have a history of holding her own.
