GREENSBORO, N.C. – They took two different routes but two records fell on the first day of the national championships.
The Lincoln-Sudbury girls posted a US#8 time of 9:01.78 and the Wachusett boys posted a US#5 time of 7:36.37 in their respective 4x800m relays.
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Christal Green finished fourth in the 200 finals (24.77) and third in the 400 finals (53.54) at New Balance Nationals.
Abbey Leonardi (Kennebunk) chased a fast time in the 2 Mile at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, NC tonight. Abbey ended up 9th overall with her 2nd fastest 2 mile of her outstanding career, 10:29.84. In the girls Mile racewalk Abby Dunn (Edward Little) earned 2nd place (7:44.24), Courtney Williams (Waterville) placed 3rd (7:48.17) while Gardiner's Annie Schide placed 6th (8:13.36). All 3 earned All-American status. On the Boys side Ian Rixon (Medomak Valley) placed 3rd (7:27.91) while Falmouth's Matthew Goldstein was 4th (8:21.62), both earned All-American Stataus.
