1. Total cost of the event will be divided among the 9 participating schools. This aligns with LSAA

2. Please bring a cheque made out to Chinook High School with you to the meet and deliver it to the
announcers booth (Bruce) at the top of the stands. Alternatively, please direct any e-transfer

TIMELINE & IMPORTANT DATES:
Thursday May 1st All HIGH SCHOOL teams (Gr. 10-12) must be registered within the SRS system
Tuesday May 6th Registration in Milesplit opens for grade 9
Friday, May 15th All HIGH SCHOOL athletes (Gr. 10-12) must be registered within the SRS system
Sat, May 16th to Mon, May 19th (midnight) Coaches assign events to their athletes in MileSplit.
Tuesday, May 20th (noon) Entry list sent to all schools for changes/verifications

Wednesday, May 21st Meet is updated with final changes (no additional changes will be accepted)

ENTRIES & REGISTRATION:
1. Milesplit will be used for all entries and Hytek software will be used to run the meet.
2. HIGH SCHOOL Athletes may enter:
a MAX of 4 events OR
MAX of 3 track events + 1 relay
OR Max of 2track events + 2 relays.
3. GRADE 9 Athletes may enter in four (4) individual events PLUS a relay. As per the LSAA Track &
Field Handbook, the four events must consist of the following combinations:

4. Schools may enter up to four (4) competitors per event. No alternates.
5. Pentathlon/300m Hurdles/Pole Vault: Qualification will only occur if there are 3 or more athletes
wishing to compete. Pentathlon is an Open Event. Pentathletes will compete in 100m, Shot Put, Long
Jump, High Jump, and 800m during the scheduled times. Points will be awarded based on Athletics
Alberta Pentathlon Standards. There will be no Pole Vault qualification.

6. Athletes MUST participate in the City Track Meet to qualify for Zones.
7. There will be no fills if one school does not have entries in an event(s).
8. All Track events will be TIMED FINALS. More than 8 entrants in an age category will have two heats

Athletes will be asked to commit to Zones when they receive their ribbons after their events.

Please remind athletes to check their schedules before coming to Cities.
AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st to 5th place, collected at the announcers booth.
Please have the WINNER of each event bring the event results sheet to the announcers booth immediately
following the completion of the event.

NOTES: Please remind your athletes to be aware and on-time for their events. Events on the TRACK supersede
that of those in the field with respect to timing and urgency. However, this does not mean FIELD
events are without expectation. Check in at your field event, complete your track event, and return
IMMEDIATELY to your field event. Should it finish before you return, it will be considered complete.
