The fourth day of the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships didn't have any Florida athletes in the running events, but the Sunshine State was represented in the field. Ponte Vedra class of 2015 high jumper, and rising UNC sophomore, Nicole Greene, came into the meet as the USA Junior Nationals champion. Greene cleared the first three heights of 1.70, 1.74, and 1.77m on her first attempt, and leaped over 1.80m on her second to advance to Friday's women's high jump final.

The world junior championship begins on Tuesday

Jamal Walton is comfortable on the international stage. As an eighth grader, Walton competed in his hometown of the Cayman Islands at the Cayman Invitational and since then has run at the CAC Junior Games, CARIFTA Games, 2014 IAAF World Junior Championship, and 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships where he placed 4th in a PR of 45.99. This week he will compete in the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships in Poland where he will face one of the most challenging fields in his career.

After finishing fourth in the US Olympic Trials and subsequently dealing with a huge rumor storm on Twitter, Noah Lyles is once again in the headlines nationally. This week in Bydgoszcz Poland at the IAAF World U20 Championships he is racing against the best in the world in the 100m dash.
