Quotes: "I cried like a little girl."

Okay…iron infusion today. So it was a disaster. I went in nervous and said I didn't want to get it done, asked them if I really had to. THEN, I went into the little room and laid down and waited for the doctor…After putting up a fight of whether or not I really had to do it, he decided he would try pumping iron into my right arm..as soon as the needle went in, I started crying like a little girl! It was HILARIOUS. Not at the time, but afterwards I had to laugh at myself. Anyway, he kept moving the needle around, apparently I have extremely small veins and they kept rolling away so he had to move the needle around, which caused me to cry even harder. So it didn't work in the right arm and the doctor apologized and said he would try the left arm…He came to my left arm and by this time the nurse had given me more tissues to cry into, and moved the dang needle around again and I was bawling. Well the nurse told the doctor that my hands were FREEZING cold…So he said I needed to calm down and he would try on my forearm later. The nurse brought me a blanket, a bed warmer, and some wrist warmers and I put on my gloves…they said if you are cold, that your veins close up more…Well, I laid in the room for about half and hour and the doctor came back and said that he was 99 percent sure it would work on my forearm. Well the needle went in all right this time and I didn't cry, I just kept asking him not to move the needle around and to tape it down really well so it didn't move anywhere, so he REALLY put tons of tape on it, hahahha! So I laid there for 20 mins while the iron slowly dripped and was finally finished. The nurse came in and took the needle out, thank god, and bandaged me up. She said they had used a baby needle because my veins were so small. Hahahha A BABY NEEDLE. Man, I am a huge wuss. hahhahahah
