Day 3 Highlights

  • Jacob Smith set a National Youth and Junior Olympics record in the 3000 meter run with a 8:41.25 clocking in the event, clear of the field by 15 seconds.
  • Laque Moen-Davis (Midwest Striders) won the Young Womens Long Jump with a leap of 19-06.
  • Jeremy and Jermaine Kline (Dupage Track Club) battled it out in the Young Mens Shot Put with Jeremy winning 65-5.50 to 64-8.
  • Destinee Gause was the fastest qualifier in the Young Womens 200 semi-finals with a clocking of 24.09.  
  • Jermaine Authorlee (CL Athletics) was the fastest qualifier in the Young Mens 200 semi-finals with a 21.04 clocking.
  • Marquise Dendy took 3 over 50 feet with his winning leap of 51-3 in the Young Mens Triple Jump.  Joshua Dixon was 2nd in 50-4.75 and Etron Moorer was 3rd in 50-1.25.
  • Samantha Levin (Gateway City) was the fastest qualifier in the girls 800 meter run with a time of 2:12.75.

 

Day 2 Highlights

  • Laque Moen-Davis (Midwest Striders) won the Young Womens Heptathlon with 4692 points.  Ivy Horn was second with 4502 points.
  • Wolf Mahler won the Young Mens Decathlon with 6930 points.  Zachery Ziemek (Dupage TC) was a close second with 6918 points.
  • Gateway City United Track Club won the Young Womens 4x800 relay with a time of 9:16.89.  
  • The Texas Stars Track Club won the Young Mens 4x800 with a quick 7:51.43.

 

Day 1 Highlights

  • Ashley Weber won the Young Womens Hammer Throw with a toss of 159-04.  Monica Phillips (Throw1Deep) was 2nd with a heave of 157-11.  
  • Edward Brentnall (Throw1Deep) won the Young Mens Hammer Throw with a heave of 192-06.
  • Kelli Thomas (Throw1Deep) won the intermediate girls Hammer Throw with a toss of 144-07.
  • Leslie Schilsky (Northwest FL) won the Young Womens 2000m Steeplechase with a time of 7:33.22.
  • Dillon Worley (Northwest FL) won the Young Mens 2000m Steeplechase with a time of 6:06.36.
