Weekend Rewind: Top T&F Storylines (June 15 - June 21)

Franklin Field had its own weekend, and it didn't lack for headlines either. Jasmine Jackson, a sophomore at Winslow, broke both the New Jersey and meet records in the 100m hurdles, running 13.04, tied for seventh in U.S. high school history. Nick Mazzeo set a new 2K steeplechase national record with a 5:37.6

Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken won her second straight 100m title in a wind-legal 11.27, and her relay team broke the state record in the 4x200m at 1:35.21. Egypt Bolan of Lindenwold cleared 5-10.50 for her second straight high jump title. Reagan Moore of Oak Knoll led the 800m from gun to tape for her second national title. Miller Crum ran the second-fastest freshman 800m in Arkansas history. Maggie McCormick broke the New York state 2-mile record, a week after dominating the state meet. 


Mallory Weller closed in 2:11 to take the girls mile national title in a meet record and US high school No. 8 all-time of 4:31.78, while Hennessy went 4:33.67 for second.

Union Catholic kept finding the podium without quite reaching the top of it. The girls broke the New Jersey 4x400m record at 3:35.81 and still finished third. The girls 4xmile ran the second-fastest time in state history, 20:08.56, and also finished third. The boys 4x800m took second in 7:34.50. Both the Hackensack boys and Union Catholic girls finished second in the sprint medley relay.
