Brooks PR of the Week highlights the top personal best performances from high school athletes across the country in the lead-up to the 2026 Brooks PR Invitational. Each week, we spotlight standout marks, rising names, and the momentum building toward the fastest high school meets in the U.S, streaming LIVE on FloTrack on June 7.
Athletes below will be across all event disciplines and abilities from different parts of the country. For track races we'll refer to only FAT timed marks

Freshman Antonio Autry broke through at the right time at the AHSAA 5A - Section 3 - Lincoln last week in the Shot Put. He came into the section meet at the 15th seed with a seasons best of 36-8 amongst the 20 man field. He threw a massive 11 and a half foot personal best in the most important meet of the season to advance to the AHSAA 5A State Championships this weekend. Autrey placed third overall throwing 48-4.5 shocking the field to take one of the advancing positions to the state meet where he was likely not a factor in advancing prior to the meet. He now entered the state championship as the 9th ranked athlete and one of two freshman in the field alongside Center Point teammate Caleb Cowan who threw 45-9 at the Section meet.
Brooke Cornali broke through with a 5-5 high jump, jumping into the top 15 at #12 in the state. Cornali is now a top-10 senior in the state. The mark improves on Cornali's previous best of 5-0.25. Cornali finished second at Washington-Greene County Championship on Thursday, April 24. Cornali is a combo high and triple jumper as well as a long hurdler. She had jumped 4-11 this year and was yet to beat her high jump PR from her junior year of 5-0.25. After being at the 5-0 range in high jump for two years, she finally had the breakthrough she was waiting for.
Cameron Watts is another freshman that emerged as the postseason arrived. Watts came into the GHSA 5A - Region 3 ranked 9th looking hopeful to score with a good performance for Dutchtown. He had a 16.23 personal best and was not expected to advance to the Section meet. Running with nothing to lose, Watts ran a major personal best of 15.02 to place fourth overall and qualify for this weeks GHSA 5A Sectional to keep his season going. He ran in heat 1 of the 2 section finals winning the first heat. He took 4th by just .01 seconds as 5th overall at 15.03! Talk about rising to the c
The St. James Academy junior Annette McGrath opened her season in impressive fashion last week over 200m at the Devin Brewer Invitational. She held a previous personal best of 24.66 from her sophomore year and showed some improvement outdoors was due during the indoor season running 38.42 for 300m. She ran a new Virginia State Lead over 200m taking the win in 23.89 for a massive personal best for an athlete who was already towards the top of the state in 2025. She ran 55.03 indoors and holds a best from 2025 outdoors of 55.28 over 400m which seems to be her best event. It's safe to say the 55 second barrier's days are numbered when she competes in the 400m outdoors.
We've seen Iowa boys throwing down in the distance events over the outdoor season being as good as any state in the country over the 800m through 3200m. Sophomore Axton Campbell took a big step forward in the early stages of his track career last week. Campbell ran the 400m during his freshman year with a best mark of 55.76. He'd run the 800m for the first time two weeks prior and debuted in 2:13.57. He showed he learned a lot in his second attempt at the open 800m running a 12 second personal best of 2:01.98 to take 2nd overall at the South Hardin Coed Meet finishing just behind his Ballard High School teammate Graden Hermann who PRed in 2:01.77 bettering his 2:01.98 from earlier this month.
