Kaddel Howard of Cedar Crest 03 has been on a tear the entire year as she was clearly peaking for nationals, running a new indoor pr of 52.65, which is Pa #2 all-time, U.S. #2 this year, and U.S. #7 all-time for indoors. The now senior 4-peted at indoor states over the 400m and is currently the 3-time state champion outdoors in the 400m, looking to complete the 4-pete in both the indoor and outdoor circuit.
Kaddel is already the outdoor state record holder and currently tied for 49th on the all-time list in the U.S with her pr from her sophomore year of 52.47. Only time will tell how close she can get to the national record this outdoor season. The current National record stands at 50.69, set all the way back in 2002 by the great Sanya Richards-Ross.
Howard has to be in contention for PA track and field athlete of the year for the indoor season and with PA being one of the most stacked states for indoor running that would be a very high honnor.
With the outdoor season right around the corner we are all very excited to see what Kaddel has in store for us everytime she hits the track.
