Nike Elite Interviews
The first Nike Track Nationals will take place on July 2nd, 2010 in Eugene, Oregon. The day before the Prefontaine Classic the top-12 boys and top-12 girls high school track and field programs will compete in 10 events to determine the first ever national championship for a high school team.
In honor of this event, MileSplit.us will be bringing you a series of athlete inteviews and stories in the months leading up to the meet. This week begins a very special series of interviews with Chris Solinsky and Galen Rupp, just days after each participated in one of the best 10000 meter efforts on US soil in some time.
Chris and Galen discuss the race in our first segments, posted below. Following this we will have much more from each athlete, including the promising future of US distance running and a profile of each runner's accomplishments from high school through today in several more parts from both athletes.
