We're barely halfway through the month of April and there have already been a number of pole vaulters atop the national leaderboard. Week after week, vaulters from coast-to-coast continue to notch new PBs as the bar continues to raise.
So far this season, Christian Academy of Knoxville senior Silas Fulford has been the biggest improver, clearing 13-6 at the Hardin Valley Invitational. That jump was a 6-6 improvement on his SB from 2024.
Isaiah Whitaker, the current national leader from Bloomington-Central Catholic (Ill.) junior has cleared 17-10.5 already this season, an 8.5 inch improvement on his sophomore best.
