The penultimate weekend of the indoor track and field season was exciting from start to finish, as state championships and last chance meets gave athletes one last chance for a pre-nationals tune-up.

The National Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 13, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Take a look at five of the top-performing girls from last weekend.

This Weeks Nominees:

Sophia McInnes, Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.): The Villanova signee added another state title to her collection, this time in the 1000m, an event she is 5-0 in this season. In big-time PB fashion, McInnes clocked 2:44.18, her first time sub-2:45. She sits No. 2 in New York history and No. 8 in U.S. history.

Angelena Bullocks, Chicago (Whitney Young) (Ill.): The future Minnesota Golden Gopher capped off a pair of undefeated seasons over the weekend, winning the 60m and 200m titles at the Illinois Meet of Champions and the CYUP Cabin Fever Invitational. Bullocks clocked 7.48 in the 60m and a new PB time of 23.95 over 200m. She also won the long jump at the Meet of Champions with a mark of 18-0.25. The senior is No. 2 and No. 3 all-time in Illinois history in both events.

Dylan McElhinney, Hunter College Campus (N.Y.): Before she heads to Harvard in August, McElhinney has a few more state titles to win. This last weekend at the NYSPHSAA State Championships, the senior won the 600m and 1500m in 1:30.62 (PB) and 4:25.52. She sits No. 10 and No. 6 in both events on the state's all-time list.

Kaylee Meyer, Schaumburg (Ill.): Make that five wins in a row and a lifetime PB for the Connecticut-bound jumper, as Meyer won the Rockford Auburn Girls Indoor Showcase by nearly eight inches. Meyer now sits in a tie at No. 3 all-time in Illinois history, and is tied for the second-best clearance in the country this season.

Zariel Macchia, William Floyd (N.Y.): Just days after winning back her eligibility to compete, the future BYU star won her seventh state title, this time in the 3000.
