Just under a year ago, the high school girls 400m final at the RADD Sunshine Showcase was one of the fastest of the season, as superstar teammates Michelle Smith and Adaejah Hodge of Montverde Academy went toe-to-toe and finished first and second inside the Alachua County Events Center in Gainesville, Florida.
In total, 11 girls dipped below 60 seconds.
Smith and Hodge both went under 56 seconds, clocking times of 55.38 and 55.70 seconds, respectively.
Just to flex their depth, Smith and Hodge were joined by teammates Alivia Williams and Ellise Dickinson, who each ran 59.39 and 59.73, respectively.
