Before he was coaching nine men under 4:00 in the mile, current Washington Head Men's Coach Andy Powell was the Franklin Park course record holder for 25 years. Powell ran an unprecedented 14:52 in 1998, a record that hadn't been touched since.

Well, "the times they are a-changin", because Ringgold superstar Ryan Pajak broke the long-standing course record by a second on Saturday, running 14:51 to pick up the Foot Locker Northeast title.

Pajak was one of two boys under 15:00, but had just enough to pick up his sixth win on the year.

After finishing 12th a year ago as a junior, Pajak is one of five returners in the top 15 from 2022, and he'll look to capture his first national title.
