WATCH: This Texas All-Star Girls Team's Blistering 4x100

Texas fast.

It's not a new concept. But it was reinforced this weekend in Albuquerque.

On Saturday at the Great Southwest Classic, an all-star girls team from Texas consisting of Prosper's Lauren Lewis, Frisco Lebanon Trail's Laila Hackett and Jordyn Price and Shadow Creek's Sydney Bryant clocked a blistering time of 44.32 seconds in the 4x100.

While that performance is categorized as a U.S. U20 effort and not eligible for high school records, just for comparisons sake, the high school national record, which was last accomplished by DeSoto in 2019, is 44.24 seconds.

The U.S. U20 record, achieved in 2006 by Bianca Knight, Jeneba Tarmoh, Elizabeth Olear and Gabrielle Mayo, stands at 43.29.
