Shawnti Jackson, one of the nation's top young sprinters, is entered in the Olympic Development 200m field at the Penn Relays Carnival presented by Toyota.

The South Granville (NC) senior, who is coming off a successful indoor season that saw her re-up her 60m national record, record the country's top all-time 300m mark and log the third-fastest performance all-time in the 200m in 22.91, will toe the line Saturday, April 29th at 2:30 p.m. EST among a field comprised of American sprinters Kortnei Johnson, Brittany Aveni, Maia McCoy, and Nigeria's Tima Seikeseye Godbless.

This weekend, she will be the only high school athlete to contest in the Olympic Development or professional open sections.

Jackson opened her spring season last weekend at the 2023 Aggie Classic at North Carolina A&T with a new personal best and a U.S. No. 2 performance of 52.13 in the 400m.

She enters The Penn Relays with an outdoor best of 23.06 from the NCHSAA 4A State Championships in 2021.
