The indoor national high school record holder wasted zero time to debut his outdoor season. Per usual, Issam Asinga of Montverde Academy (FL) made a statement.
At the FSU Relays, Asinga ran his first 200m on the outdoor oval with a wind-legal performance of 20.57 (+1.5). This performance moves Asinga up on the all-time list to US No. 26 and FL No. 6 in history.
Just two weeks ago, Asinga clocked a 20.44 to win the New Balance Nationals Indoor title. This week, he was named the MileSplit50 Indoor Boys Athlete Of The Year.
