The Seton Hall Prep boys, looking to take down Christian Brothers Academy in the NJSIAA Non-Public A Group Championships on Saturday, used a 1-2-3 finish to begin competition in the 400m.
It set the stage for the rest the night.
Xavier Donaldson, the squad's opener in the 4x400, won the individual 400m title in 49.27, pairing with teammate Ryan Matulonis to score the fastest time out of the Group Championships.
It didn't hurt in the final points tally, either.
Seton Hall Prep, using 24 points from the 400m, went on to defeat CBA 83-75 in the overall scoreline.
New Jersey MileSplit reported that the win was the team's first indoor title since 1980 and its eighth overall.
