It may come as no surprise to many that Newbury Park star Aaron Sahlman earned the week 14 National Performer Of The Week honor.

But the way in which he earned the nod certainly came in a much more shocking fashion, as the Northern Arizona signee surged to the finish at Team Nationals to win the first national title and cross country race of his high school career. He did it in record-breaking fashion, too, setting a new Glendoveer Golf Course all-time mark of 14:44.50 for 5k.

Sahlman won 73-percent of the vote to win the weekly performer poll.

Now with the final competitions of the cross country season complete, we begin to shift our focus to the oval as athletes make their first indoor track season appearances.

Vote below for your National Boys Performer Of The Week for competitions held from Dec. 5 - 11.
