NLI SIGNING WEEK IS HERE -- The University of Southern California Trojans snagged one of the nation's top hurdlers on Thursday.

Oak Park's (MI) Nonah Waldron signed her National Letter of Intent in front of family and friends, pledging to join the Trojans, who are led by the coaching staff of Quincy Watts and Joanna Hayes.

MileSplit's No. 8 recruit in the Class of 2023 enters her final high school season with indoor personal best times of 8.32 in the 60mH, 40.42 in the 300m, and 56.31 in the 400m. During the outdoor season, she's produced wind-legal marks of 13.90 in the 100mH and 42.66 in the 300mH.

Last winter, Waldron ran 22 60mH races and won every single final she's crossed the line in.

In her second race of the season, she raced to a new personal best at the MITS Lab #2 meet with an 8.32 in the short hurdles. Throughout the year, Waldron dominated the hurdle events in her area as she racked up victories at the CYUP Misfits Invitational and the MITS Indoor State Championships.

The highlight of her indoor season came from New Balance Nationals Indoor, where she claimed her first indoor national title with a time of 8.35.

The icing on the cake was being a part of the winning SMR and SHR squads for the Motor City Track Club.

This past spring, Waldron was undefeated in the 100mH. She racked up victories throughout the year, including titles from the MHSAA Regional and Divisional meets before she faced an injury.

When Waldron was a sophomore, she finished second at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in the 100mH and in the 400mH where she clocked a lifetime best of 58.10.

As her senior year comes to a close, she looks to pick up where she left off and run in honor of her father.
