Last week's National Boys Performer Of The Week poll saw a new face rise onto the national scene -- Adam Furman.

An impressive 14:57.70 personal best for the 3-mile distance at the OCIAA XC Championships made for a 191 speed rating and a win in the week eight performer poll for Furman. The Tri-Valley (NY) senior garnered 59-percent of the vote to take home the honor.

Christian Groendyk, Fort Collins (CO): Won the Colorado 5A state championships with a 5k time of 15:13.50, earning a 192 speed rating and his sixth-straight win of the season.

Drew Griffith, Butler (PA): Registered a stellar 197 speed rating with his 15:17.2 5k showing at the PIAA District 7 Championships.

Landon Heemeyer, Rocky Mountain (ID): Clocked a new US No. 10 14:38.79 5k to win the Idaho 5A state title, which translates to a 192 speed rating.

Kole Mathison, Carmel (IN): Ran 15:02.8 for 5k to win an individual title and also lead Carmel to a narrow team win at the Indiana State Championships. That performance also gave Mathison a 194 speed rating.

Devan Kipyego, St. Raphael Academy (RI): Won the Rhode Island Class C Championships with a 15:06.30 5k performance, good for a 196 speed rating.

Tyrone Gorze, Crater (OR): Recorded a season best 5k on the grass of 14:41.4 to win the Oregon 5A-2 Midwestern League Championships and earn a 195 speed rating.
