New Balance announced on Thursday afternoon that the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championship will shift to a new home for 2023.

The high school national track and field event, scheduled for March 12-13 in 2023, will take place at the TRACK at New Balance, the recently-opened indoor facility located on the athletic brand's Boston campus.

Historically, NBNI has been contested at The Armory in New York, but will move to Boston to New Balance's newest on-campus venue beginning this indoor season.

The TRACK officially opened last spring, complete with a 200-meter hydraulically-banked indoor track surface, specified throwing arena, 24,000 square-feet of warm up space, research lab and other entertainment venues. It's part of the Boston Landing area home to New Balance World Headquarters and professional training facilities used by the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.

New Balance first celebrated the facility's completion with a grand-opening track meet in April, featuring a world-record performance from New Balance-sponsored team in the women's distance medley relay that included high school middle distance phenom at the time Roisin Willis.

NBNI hosts over 3,500 high school track and field athletes each year as part of the multi-day event. Last time out in 2022, NBNI featured some of the fastest high school-only races in history, including in the men's and women's mile and men's 800m.

Athletes can register for the upcoming event beginning in November on New Balance Nationals webpage.
