Last year, history was made with Newbury Park (CA) when it came to the cross country season.
Paving the way from the west region were its three top runners, Lex Young,Leo Young and Aaron Sahlman who ran faster than 14:15 for 5K.
As we can expect, this season looks to be loaded with talent from both Newbury Park and also the west region. Athletes like Tayson Echohawk, Rendon Kuykendall and Tyrone Gorze have clocked faster than 14:30 for 5K last year.
