The film will not only highlight a prolific sprinter, but it will also showcase one of the country's all-time best athletes. Moreover, it will also dive into the relationship with Shawnti Jackson and her father, Bershawn 'Batman' Jackson, an Olympic bronze medalist who has been coaching her for almost a decade in the sprints.
There's no doubt, Jackson has made history with her performances thus far. As a freshman, the Raleigh Wakefield (NC) High School and Run U Xpress athlete has set all-time marks in the sprints. This year alone, she broke the indoor national high school record in the 60m at the Millrose Games and then followed with four state championships in North Carolina and her first qualification to a World competition.
Her father has been a big reason why. Bershawn Jackson has used his knowledge in the sport and his experiences to train and mold his daughter into one of the fastest girls in the nation.
The film will release next week ahead of Jackson's performance at the World U20 Championships in Colombia.
