This has been an electrifying year when it comes to distance events. Five boys have broken four minutes for the mile in this year alone. However, there have been runners who have broken through barriers in the 3,200m and 1,600m.
There were 73 boys who dipped under nine minutes in the 3,200m and 70 girls who have crossed the line before 4:50 was on the clock in the 1,600m.
