Over the last four years, Roisin Willis has consistently set all-time marks throughout her high school career.

Each race and each mark has been special in some way.

This weekend at the WIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Willis added another personal best to her resume and ended her regular season as a Panther on a high note.

It was a rainy day in Lacrosse at the University of Wisconsin, but that didn't stop Willis from running the third-fastest all-time 800m in high school history. By herself.

From start to finish it was Willis leading the pack as she came through her first 400m in 58.68 -- nearly nine seconds faster than her competitors in 1:07.

It was all heart the last 100m as the crowd stood to help bring the senior home to a lifetime best and state record time of 2:00.03.

This was her third 2:00 within a year.

She ended the 2021 outdoor season with a 2:00.78 and then about four months ago she ran a 2:00.06 to set the indoor national high school record on the indoor oval. Willis had an extraordinary career which also included setting world bests in a couple of relays.

Her season isn't over just yet as she will be competing at Brooks PR and Nike Outdoor Nationals in the upcoming weeks before heading to Stanford in the fall.
