Tasty Race: A Quick Look Over The Shoulder Before The Finish

Sometimes, when you know, you know.

And then you just go.

On Saturday at the LAB Midwest Winter Invite, Clio (MI) High School junior Tyler Heath made a decisive move with 400m to go in the boys 800m and then never looked back ... well, maybe that's not fully accurate.

Over the final turn, Heath began to measure his move as he took a glance over his shoulder, and then once more before he finished.

But in the end, his move worked, as Heath claimed a winning time of 1:58.38, outlasting two other runners -- Shawn Juliette and Nathaniel Hobbs -- who also finished with nearly identical times.

A total of four runners went under two minutes in the 800m, making this one of the weekend's more thrilling races from start to finish.
