Year: 2024

Event: 60mH, TJ

When and Where: LSU High School Qualifier #2, Jan. 22

Performance:

60mH: 8.20, Sophomore No. 1, U.S. No. 43

TJ: 43-6, Sophomore No. 6

Breakdown: Louisiana has been known to produce national-class hurdlers in the past. And so, what are we getting at? Davis seems like he's in line for a similar history if his first few performances are of any indication.

The sophomore from Baton Rouge has run no slower than 8.30 in the 60mH over two meets, and he netted an overall personal best of 8.20 this weekend at the LSU High School Qualifier #2.

That performance put Davis inside the top 50 and gave him the sophomore class' No. 1 time. He's also a capable leaper, with PRs of 22-3.75 and 43-6 in the long jump and triple jump, respectively.
