National Girls Performer Of The Week (1/3-1/9)

Shawnti Jackson picked up where she left off this season.

The junior from Cardinal Gibbons (NC) kicked off the indoor season with two major victories at the 757 Showdown in the 60m and 200m in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Jackson sprinted to a 7.34 in the 60m and moved up to US No. 2 in this event. In the 400m, she finished strong to run a personal best of 54.94 and to be the second-fastest girl in the nation in this event.

Last week, she earned about 63-percent of the votes to be named this week's National Girls Performer Of The Week!
