Just how prolific were performances across the 2021 outdoor season in the United States?
We had four national records and 66 performances inside all-time top 25 lists in high school history.
Some events stood out more than others. Pole vault saw a total of eight girls entrants on the all-time ranking, including new outdoor national record holder Paige Sommers. Both of the national 2,000m steeplechase records went down by virtue of boys' and girls' efforts.
IMG Academy's Jaylen Slade, Ann Arbor's Hobbs Kessler and Mount De Sales' Juliette Whittaker all found themselves on two separate lists, while Newbury Park's Colin Sahlman was the only athlete to secure his name across three: the 1,500m, 1,600m and 3,200m.
