The PRs have been rolling over the 2021 season.
So today, we're looking at year-over-year growth in the 1,600m and mile distances across both genders. With over 1,000 athletes accumulating growth in the 1,600m over a year's time, naturally some are more impressive than others.
But in the case of Luke Lambert, his improvement has been significant.
The Wylie (TX) High School senior and Tulsa signee has chopped off over 22 seconds from his best effort in 2020 (4:34.29), going 4:12.04 at the Texas Distance Festival. While the last time he ran a full season was in 2019 -- which came when he was a sophomore -- there's no doubt Lambert has grown immensely.
