The Sundown Track Series produced some fast times and exciting races Saturday night in Queen Creek, Arizona.
The boys mile had one of the most exciting finishes.
In the final 400m, Melissa's (TX) Judson Greer had a strong lead on the rest of the field, including second-place athlete, Newbury Park High School's (CA) Colin Sahlman. With 150m to go, Greer was still in the lead but Sahlman had started to close down the gap.
In the final 100m things got really exciting. Sahlman made up 10-20 meters of ground to pass by Greer in the final 50 meters and then go on to win by 10 meters. Sahlman would finish with a 4:09.86 while Greer took second in 4:11.74.
