There is no denying the connection to track and field for some of the world's best football players.
This year, we compiled data to see how many players on the two Super Bowl teams -- the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- competed in track.
Which team had the most? That honor goes to the Kansas City Chiefs, with 27 out of 54 active-roster athletes having competed in track (based on profiles in the MileSplit database).
Of all the athletes on either team who competed in track and field, Tyreek Hill was by far the fastest. During his time at Coffee High School in Douglas, Georgia, he clocked the fourth-fastest high school 200m performance of all-time with his 20.14 from the 2012 Golden South Classic.
