Cory sat down with Birmingham Parker (AL) High School senior and University of Alabama signee Jekovan Rhetta recently for an in-depth discussion on his current season, training, his successful stint in high school football and what he's imagining the next few years to look like as he enters the collegiate track and field scene for the Crimson Tide.
Rhetta's next performance will take place this weekend at The Last Chance Invitational as he will help helm one of his program's relays in order to qualify for the state championships. You can wach the invitational live on MileSplit (above). The Alabama Indoor State Championships will also stream live on MileSplit on Feb. 5.
Rhetta has lit up the CrossPlex this indoor season, with state-leading marks in Alabama and a US No. 3 time of 6.73 seconds in the 60m.
He's also posted a US No. 17 performance of 21.70 seconds in the 200m and has gone 49.47 in the 400m, good for a US No. 16 mark. For more stories on Rhetta's season, check out his profile page here.
