Analee Weaver of Stillwater (MN) ran her personal best this year, and a Minnesota state 5K record, at the Forest Lake SEC Tri meet at the beginning of October, turning in one of the top performances of the year.

Weaver finished the 5K course in 16:42.60, which was both the record for the fastest time by a Minnesota high school girl and the fastest for a Minnesota high school girl on Minnesota soil.

The key to her success this season was being able to train exclusively with the Stillwater boys since August 1 and become the No. 9 runner.

Weaver finished this race 70 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. There were only three girls who broke 19 minutes for 5K on the Forest Lake Area Middle School course.
