We used our database to see which jumpers have excelled the most in their junior year of high school.

There have been some big-name jumpers over the past decade including Grassfield (VA) graduate Grant Holloway. Holloway was not only a star in the hurdles but he also had a junior class decade leading long jump mark of 25 feet 8.75 inches (+1.2). He jumped that mark at the 2015 VHSL Group 5A/6A State Outdoor T&F Championships. During his junior year, Holloway had six jumps - counting the one above - over 23-feet and two over 24-feet.

We would also be remiss if we didn't mention Armand Duplantis who absolutely dominated the pole vault not only his junior year of high school but all four years. During his junior year, he set the junior class record of 19-4.25.
