Six years ago, the national high school 4x200m record was broken at Florida Relays.
St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) stepped on the track with the quartet that consisted of Krystal Sparling, Diamond Spaulding, Narinah Jean-Baptiste, and Kendall Ellis. Within the last decade, this was the first time that St. Thomas Aquinas held on to the No. 1 time in the nation for the 4x200m relay.
St. Thomas Aquinas started out strong from when the starting gun went off. Ellis put a dent into the lead as she handed the stick off to the anchor. It was their race to lose. These girls lowered the record to 1:33.43, and finished ahead of second place by 3 seconds.
